Balcony Repair - Santa Monica

This balcony repair project involved a comprehensive structural and aesthetic restoration to ensure safety, durability, and visual appeal. The scope of work began with stucco repair to address cracks and damaged surfaces, followed by plywood replacement beneath the balcony flooring to correct underlying deterioration.

A critical part of the repair included waterproofing, completed with a three-layer waterproofing system to seal and protect the balcony from future moisture intrusion. Additionally, a rotted support post was removed and replaced, restoring the structural integrity of the balcony.

The existing wood railing was repaired and modernized, maintaining its classic form while updating its appearance to suit a refreshed design. The final touch included stucco painting to blend the repaired areas seamlessly with the original façade, and painting of all wood components, including the posts and railings, in a soft blue tone that harmonizes with the trim and Spanish-style roof. This full restoration resulted in a safe, weatherproof, and visually cohesive balcony upgrade.
